Favorites

Similar to what Sam said earlier, I too find it very difficult to pinpoint my favorite book and KO class. While there are many books that I have enjoyed reading outside of KO, my favorite schoolbooks have been: Catcher in the Rye (you will probably hear me making a connection or two to this book at some point during our class), The Great Gatsby, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Patrimony (by Philip Roth), and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. These books appealed to me for different reasons, but I came away from each of these books with a changed perspective and outlook. I particularly enjoyed the symposium class and found the journey through Jonathan Safran Foer’s works to be incredibly fascinating and rewarding. I have also really liked my sophomore history class (with Mr. Jones), my junior history class (with Mr. Kyff), my biology class, and am currently very much enjoying political science and economics.
